Wedding in Villa di Geggiano Tuscany – Kelsey and Kristian

In my many years as a wedding photographer, this was the first time I had the chance to shoot a wedding in Villa di Geggiano Tuscany, an amazing venue incredibly close to Siena and yet cuddled by enchanting hills of Chianti.

I was very impressed when I saw the location, an 14th Century Villa with its baroque decors and incredibly preserved wallpapers. I do not know if I was struck because of the classical charm that it exudes and every corner reminded me of things I love such as the wonderful roman art among the many possible.

My archaeological background always lead me to that. But when I found out it wasn't simply a Villa but above all the home of Bianchi Bandinelli’s family, that just to remember counts among them Pope Alexander III and one of the most renown archaeologist and art historian Ranuccio Bianchi Bandinelli that I had the chance to study at University, I knew why I was so overwhelmed by its beauty.

I felt really inspired by all the surroundings, every statue, every corner was a reminder of the many ideas I already had in my mind. For Kelsey and Kristian intimate wedding close to Siena, I came up with unexpected and different photos, so happy to gift them to an amazing couple that decided to get married in Tuscany.

They had a very heart-felt outdoor wedding ceremony under a fairytale arch of flowers in the Italian-Style Garden with stunning views all over the countryside and then, after the sunset, Villa di Geggiano surprised all of us with an incredible dinner location, worthy of a movie set.

It is incredible how an amazing story can be told in just four hours of photo service.
