Two ceremonies. One wedding day in Tuscany. San Two ceremonies. One wedding day in Tuscany.

Sanya and Manuel celebrated their wedding at Castello di Meleto with an Indian ceremony in the morning and a symbolic ceremony in the afternoon, overlooking the Tuscan hills and the castle.

The morning and afternoon could hardly have looked more different, but they belonged perfectly to the same day.

From yellow petals, rituals and family moments in the morning to an outdoor ceremony surrounded by vineyards and cypress trees later in the day, the whole wedding felt incredibly rich in colour, atmosphere and meaning.

I’ve photographed many weddings at Castello di Meleto over the years. It’s a place I know very well and one I’m always happy to return to, especially when every wedding manages to show me a completely different side of it.

And this one definitely did.

Six years later, I’m still proud to write these wo Six years later, I’m still proud to write these words: Canon Ambassador

I bought my first professional Canon camera almost 21 years ago, with money I had saved up, an EOS 20D. At that time, I could never have imagined where photography would take me, but I knew that was the path I wanted to follow.

In 2020, I became a Canon Ambassador. Today, I’m incredibly happy to share that this journey will continue for another term.

A lot has happened in these years. My photography has evolved, I’ve experimented more, travelled, taught, spoken at conferences and workshops, tested new ideas and new tools, and even discovered a completely new part of the photographic process through professional printing with the imagePROGRAF PRO-2600.

What I value most about being part of this programme is exactly this: the opportunity to keep growing, to stay curious and to explore new possibilities while sharing what I learn with other photographers.

I’ve always believed that equipment should serve ideas, not replace them. Having Canon by my side throughout this journey has allowed me to keep pushing those ideas further.

I don’t take this renewal for granted. I’m genuinely grateful for the trust, the support and the opportunity to continue this journey together.

Thank you @canonemeapro and @canonitaliaspa

There is still so much I want to create.

You can find my official Canon Ambassador profile through the link in my bio.

Big milestone. Perfect timing. My 100th Fearless Big milestone. Perfect timing.
My 100th Fearless Award arrived in Collection 100.

I really couldn’t have planned that better.

Collections 99 and 100 brought me two new Fearless Awards, taking my total from 99 to 101. You’ll find the two new photographs on slides 2 and 19.

To mark the milestone, I went back through the years and selected 19 awarded images.

Looking at them together, I don’t just see awards. I see different phases of my wedding photography, experiments, risks, changes in the way I look at things, and a constant desire to keep learning and trying something I haven’t done before.

Some are quiet. Some are chaotic. Some came from instinct, others from an idea I had to chase.

That is probably what makes this milestone meaningful to me: after all these years, photography still gives me reasons to experiment, to be surprised and to keep growing.

Thank you to @fearlessphotographers, to all the judges over the years, and especially to every couple who trusted me enough to let me photograph their wedding in my own way.

And a special thank you to @canonemeapro and @canonitaliaspa for being part of this journey and supporting my work over the years.

The number is 101. The goal is still the next frame.

I built a “flying flash” for ONE wedding photo. 📸 I built a “flying flash” for ONE wedding photo. 📸

This is probably one of the craziest things I’ve ever built just to get a single image.

The idea was to turn a flash into a light source in the sky. So I mounted a Canon Speedlite with a wireless receiver underneath a drone, tested the balance, figured out how to fly it safely, and waited until nightfall to see if the idea would actually work.

The final photograph was made with a 25-second exposure. The movement of the drone created the light trail (mostly generated by a small pilot light) while the flash itself became part of the final exposure.

And this made me think.

In a world where AI can create almost anything from scratch in a matter of seconds, is it still worth spending all this time preparing, testing and experimenting just to create the one frame you imagined?

For me, absolutely.

Because this is exactly what I still love about photography: having an idea, not knowing if it will work, building something that probably shouldn’t exist… and trying it anyway.

Sometimes the most interesting photographs start with a slightly crazy idea.

Victoria and Bernardo’s wedding was photographed in color too, but forblackandwhitephotography different visual language.

Ten black-and-white photographs, arranged like scenes from an old Italian film.

Rome did the rest. For a few hours, the city seemed suspended somewhere between real life and 1960s Italian cinema.

A subtle nod to the atmosphere of La Dolce Vita: a modern wedding told through contrast, timeless elegance and the unmistakable character of Rome.

Ten people. One summer storm. Not a single smile l Ten people. One summer storm. Not a single smile lost. #microwedding

Nicole and Adam chose to celebrate their wedding near Florence with just eight guests.

Right in the middle of the ceremony, the sky opened. Not just a few drops, but one of those sudden summer storms that soaks everyone within seconds.

Someone asked whether they wanted to stop.

They laughed and carried on.

The ceremony never paused. By the end, the couple, their guests and me, the photographer, were completely drenched. Halfway through this carousel, the video shows exactly how it happened.

Then we dried off, the clouds moved away and the sun returned. We had time for their couple session in the Tuscan countryside, some beautiful golden light and a cake cutting beneath an incredible deep blue sky.

This is what I love about micro weddings: they are not about experiencing less, but about experiencing everything more closely. Every laugh, every reaction and every unexpected moment is shared by everyone.

Nicole and Adam never stopped smiling. Neither did their guests.

And honestly, neither did I.

A small wedding, perhaps. But definitely not a small story.

Smoke, lights, bubbles and a bit of controlled cha Smoke, lights, bubbles and a bit of controlled chaos.

Sometimes a simple setup is enough to completely change the mood of an image. For this shot I used a black plexiglass surface, a small amount of smoke, continuous lights and a very close subject to create something more graphic, cinematic and unexpected.

No big production. Just a few elements, placed in the right way, and a bit of patience.

This is one of the things I love most about photography: even after many years, there is always room to play, test, fail, adjust and find something new.

The backstage video was intentionally exposed to show the behind the scenes and keep the darker areas readable. By exposing for the highlights instead, the final result is the image you see at the end.

Photographing a wedding for another wedding photog Photographing a wedding for another wedding photographer hits differently.

Gennaro is not only a talented wedding photographer. He is also a friend, someone I’ve shared many conversations, doubts and ideas about photography with over the years and someone who once told me that the first workshop he ever attended was one of mine.

So being chosen to tell his wedding story with Francesca meant a lot.

Their wedding in Cilento, at Tana di Volpe, was full of everything I love to photograph: emotion, energy, family, chaos, beauty, light and all those unexpected little moments that make a day feel completely alive.

Choosing only 20 images for this carousel was almost impossible. So I chose them by instinct.

Not just the “best” photographs, but the ones that made me smile. The ones that brought me back to the feeling of the day. The ones that, together, could tell something honest about who they are and how their wedding felt.

The first and the last image are a bit of a special chapter on their own: two creative ideas built especially for them, with a behind-the-scenes story that I’ll share soon.

And yes, photographing a colleague is always an honour.
But photographing a friend, someone whose path crossed mine years ago in such a meaningful way… that is something I’ll never take for granted.

There are weddings that feel beautiful because the There are weddings that feel beautiful because they are completely alive.

@carlottasargeant and @azzasargeant5 ’s wedding at Castello di Petrata, in Umbria, was exactly that: elegant, warm, full of Italian atmosphere and also incredibly fun and full of character.

The setting was stunning, surrounded by hills and open views but, what made the day special, was the way everyone lived it: with energy, laughter, emotion and a real desire to celebrate.

From the quiet anticipation of the getting ready to the ceremony, from the golden portraits to the dance floor, this wedding had many different faces and all of them felt true to who they are.

That’s what I loved most about it.
It had beauty, style, a wonderful Italian setting and above all, life.

Sometimes, everything just aligns perfectly An Sometimes, everything just aligns perfectly

An intimate wedding in Tuscany, surrounded by rolling hills, warm light and some of the kindest people.
Just a few hours together, around 30 guests and yet nothing felt rushed. The day had its own rhythm and everything seemed to find the right space naturally.

Colleen and Brandon were simply amazing to photograph. Relaxed, happy and fully enjoying every second of the day.

Villa Le Bolli once again proved to be one of those places that truly feel like Tuscany: authentic, quiet and effortlessly beautiful.

Sometimes you really don’t need a full-day wedding to create something meaningful. You just need the right atmosphere, the right people and beautiful light to play with.

A lot of people asked me about the first image after I shared a behind-the-scenes story while shooting it. Still one of my favourite frames from the day.
